Who We Are.
Yoga means union.True inner power arises through uniting the apparent opposites. Yoga helps us to be strong and flexible, focused & playful, intense, but not tense!
IM YOGA.
“I’m not flexible enough!” – that’s one of many excuses we hear why yoga isn’t for you. The truth is: yoga is for everybody. We need yoga especially when we are not flexible. One of the easiest ways to become flexible AND strong is: JUST DO YOGA. Flexibility is not a prerequisite for yoga, it is one of the results when we practice yoga.
IM Yoga stands for « Inner Management ». Fundamentally, in life we manage our interiority: we decide who we want to be – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Just like there is a system of management in the outside world, there is a system on the inside as well, leading to an inner wellbeing. Thanks to technology, we have reached a remarkable amount of comfort in the outer world. It is time to reach the same in our inner world! Yoga and meditation are ancient systems that can help us attain good health, a positive mind, and the discovery of our true potentials. For the business world, especially, yoga and meditation are indispensable tools for creating healthy, happy, efficient, and successful employers and employees.
Through proper breathing, intelligent movement, and precise alignment you will create a fit body, feel an increase in energy, and stay focused, calm, and connected. You decide the shape of your body, mind, and emotions – we help you to find the perfect tool to create your inner world the way you want it.
Meet, Meret.
Meret is the founder of IM Yoga. A modeling assignment brought her to New York, where she discovered yoga. She went on to live in her favorite city for eight years. Since then, yoga has become her most reliable tool to keep the body fit, the mind calm, and the emotions in balance.
As an international fashion model, Meret traveled extensively and was exposed to many yoga styles, cultures, and traditions. Her international path includes time in global melting pots such as New York and Berlin, as well as extended stays in ashrams in India. Today, she especially values bringing people from different backgrounds together through practice. She is now based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and teaches in English, French, Frenglish, German, and Italian.
Meret completed a Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa–Ashtanga teacher training in Ubud, Bali, and also trained in alternative medicine as a certified practitioner. This background supports her anatomical understanding and her ability to adapt the practice with care, particularly for students with injuries or specific needs.
